Description
ISOPHALT RENOVATOR is a white primer for bitumen surfaces based on synthetic hybrid resins. It reinforces and renovates bituminous surfaces and bituminous membranes by penetrating the asphalt mass and refreshing the dried and worn out surfaces. It forms a strong white protective film that offers UV-protection. It works as a bonding primer providing a sound anchor for acrylic and hybrid waterproofing membranes such as ISOCRYL and ISOCRYL PREMIUM. It is resistant to bituminous oils and offers excellent coverage and surface adhesion properties.
ADVANTAGES
- Excellent long lasting protection from sun and humidity
- Superior whiteness
- Reflective to sun UV rays offering thermal insulation advantages

Instructions for use
Substrate preparation
- All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oil, grease, mildew, wax, dust, rust, loose material, chalk and other foreign matter that could interfere with adhesion.
- If washing is necessary, rinse well and allow drying.
- Remove loose rust or peeling material with a scraper, wire or plastic brush or water jet cleaner.
- Mould covered surfaces: wash the area with a mould remover, rinse with water and allow drying before priming.
- While ISOPHALT RENOVATOR is formulated to bond without roughing the surface, it is recommended that a small area be tested for adhesion prior to full scale application
Application
- Stir material thoroughly before and during use.
- Apply with a brush or roller on the entire surface to ensure a uniform appearance.
- If a waterproofing membrane will be applied as a topcoat it should be done within 30 days to prevent contamination of the surface.
