Description
TEMPO MS PARQUET is a superstrong one-component adhesive, based on new generation polymeric resins terminated with silanes, suitable for wooden floor installation. It polymerizes with the humidity of the atmospheric air and offers a powerful, permanently waterproof and elastic bond. It has great resistance to humidity and temperature. It is ideal for underfloor heating systems. It does not contain solvents and isocyanates, making it user-friendly. Excellent soundproofing properties.
ADVANTAGES
- One component - ready to use
- High bonding strength without the use of nails
- Highly elastic
- Temperature resistance (-40oC - +90oC)
- Excellent humidity and chemical resistance
- Excellent resistance to ageing
- Soundproofing properties
- Anti-vibration properties
- Bonds most sizes and types of wooden flooring to many substrates
- It can be painted
- Easily cleaned from polished parquets
- Without solvents
APPLICATIONS
- Suitable for bonding all types (solid wood, laminate, etc.) and sizes of wooden flooring on most types of substrates such as cement screed, wooden floors, ceramic tiles, marble, mosaic, metallic surfaces, etc.

Instructions for use
Substrate preparation
- Before installation, make sure that windows and doors have been fitted and that the building is weathertight.
- Should be used at temperatures between 10oC - 30oC and relative humidity 50% - 60%. Do not use at temperatures below 10oC.
- The moisture content of the screed must be in accordance with the relevant standards.
- If there is danger of rising damp, the application of a vapour barrier (EPOXITE DRYMAX WET) is necessary before preparing the screed.
- Walls and ceilings must be completely dry.
- The underfloor heating system must operate for 2 weeks prior to wood floor installation.
- The moisture content of the wood should be according to the wood flooring manufacturer’s requirements.
Cementitious screeds, mosaic
- Carefully check the substrate to verify that it is cured, dry, flat, and mechanically strong.
- Make sure that the surface is dry and clean from dust, paints, grease, oil residues, loose particles, etc.
- Apply PRIMER PU 900 or EPOXITE DUR for protection and strengthening of the surface.
- Rough and uneven surfaces can be smoothed with self-leveling compound ISOMIX SELF LEVEL 1-30. Installation of wood flooring must be carried out once the surface is completely cured and dry.
- Screed applied onto lightweight concrete or a concrete slab must be treated with a suitable vapour barrier (EPOXITE DRYMAX WET).
Existing ceramic tiles, marble etc.
- Make sure that the surface is dry and clean from dust, polish, paints, grease, oil residues, loose particles, etc.
- Carefully check the substrate to verify that tiles/marble are stably bonded.
- Degrease surfaces using DIL X – 100 solvent or acetone.
Wooden flooring
- Make sure that wooden planks are well bonded to the substrate.
- Remove any varnish, paint, or wax from the surface by abrasion or with paint and varnish remover STRIPP & CLEAN until the natural appearance of the wood is exposed.
- Vacuum all dust and follow with a wet cloth. When the surface is completely dry, proceed with the installation.
Application
- Leave a 1cm joint around the perimeter of the flooring and around columns and other interruptions. This gap will be covered after the installation with skirting boards.
- Apply the adhesive with a notched spatula for wood, starting from one corner of the room.
- Setting time and pot life depend on environmental conditions. During the summer, the glue hardens quickly, while during the winter, it slows down.
- Apply the adhesive to an area of approximately 1m2 each time.
- Install the wooden plank on the adhesive and apply light pressure.
- Install the next wood plank 3 - 5 cm away from the previous one and carefully slide it into place.
- Do not step on the newly bonded surface while the adhesive is uncured, as wooden boards may move from their position.
- The floor is ready for light traffic 24 hours after installation.
- Polishing can be carried out 36 hours later, depending on ambient temperature. However, it is recommended to wait for 3 days until the wooden parquet is completely set.
Cleaning
Clean surplus adhesive and tools immediately after use and while adhesive is still wet with DIL POLYURETHANE EXTRA or DIL X-100. Cured adhesive may be removed only by mechanical means.
